Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) homicide detectives are actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday night, June 18, 2026. The incident took place in the 4900 block of East Craig Road, near North Nellis Boulevard, outside a laundromat in the northeast valley of Las Vegas. According to Homicide Lieutenant Robert Price, dispatch received a shot spotter notification at approximately 9 p.m., followed by multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in progress. Responding officers from the Northeast Area Command located a man and a woman who had both sustained gunshot wounds. The woman was transported to University Medical Center (UMC) Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Lieutenant Price stated that the victims were inside the laundromat doing laundry when they exited into the parking lot. There, they were approached by the suspect, leading to a verbal argument. The suspect then pulled out a firearm and shot both individuals before fleeing the scene. The suspect remains at large and is currently wanted for investigation. Police have characterized the event as an isolated incident and stated there is no ongoing threat to the general public. LVMPD Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
