Homicide detectives are conducting a sweeping valley-wide manhunt following a deadly double shooting that occurred Thursday night, June 18, outside a commercial strip mall on the 4900 block of East Craig Road in Las Vegas. The targeted ambush left an adult male deceased and an adult female hospitalized with severe ballistic trauma. According to preliminary witness interviews, the victims had just exited a local retail laundromat carrying laundry bundles when an unidentified male suspect approached them from the darkness. A brief verbal altercation ensued before the unknown assailant produced a semi-automatic handgun and opened fire at close range, unleashing multiple rounds into both individuals before fleeing on foot. First responding units found the male victim suffering from catastrophic torso wounds, leading to his death at the scene. The female victim was stabilized on the pavement with critical gunshot wounds to her abdomen and rushed to University Medical Center's Trauma Center, where she remains in stable but critical condition.
