North College Hill police are searching for Ricky Orlando Lee, a 43-year-old man described as armed and dangerous, in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Breal Wade and an 18-year-old male friend. The incident occurred early Monday, June 22, around 1:30 a.m., outside Wade’s home in the 2000 block of Carpenter Drive. According to court records and affidavits, Lee allegedly used an AR-15-style rifle to fire approximately 29 rounds into the vehicle occupied by the two teenagers. Wade was shot in the left wrist and abdomen and died at the scene. Her friend sustained injuries to his right shoulder and right earlobe and was hospitalized in stable condition. Lee, who also resides in the 2000 block of Carpenter Drive, faces seven charges, including two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, aggravated menacing, using weapons while intoxicated, and tampering with evidence. Investigators noted that spent shell casings recovered from the scene were linked to Lee’s home, and evidence suggests the firearm was altered or concealed to impair its evidentiary value. Police also allege that the day prior to the shooting, Lee threatened an 11-year-old boy with a handgun. Authorities warn the public not to approach Lee, who is known to frequent North College Hill, College Hill, and Northside.
