The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking the whereabouts of Thomas L. Lloyd, a 19-year-old resident of Stuarts Draft, Virginia. Lloyd is currently wanted on multiple felony charges and one misdemeanor following a series of incidents involving law enforcement encounters and a high-speed vehicle pursuit. The situation began on the night of June 12, 2026, when a deputy on Interstate 64 observed Lloyd driving at 95 mph in a 70 mph zone. Upon the deputy's attempt to initiate a traffic stop, Lloyd reportedly turned off his headlights and accelerated, leading to a chase that transitioned onto Interstate 81 northbound before exiting toward Waynesboro. The pursuit was subsequently taken over by the Waynesboro Police Department and Virginia State Police. The chase ended when Lloyd's vehicle crashed into multiple utility poles. Following the collision, Lloyd fled the scene on foot. Authorities had previously attempted to serve arrest warrants on Lloyd on June 13 at a residence off Breezewood Drive in Staunton. During that attempt, he again fled on foot into a wooded area, prompting a large law enforcement presence that searched the area for several hours without success. Lloyd remains at large. Investigators are urging the public to assist in locating him. Anyone with information regarding Lloyd's whereabouts is asked to contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (540) 245-5333. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details regarding Lloyd's current location have been released.
