The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man suspected of burglarizing a convenience store located east of Toccoa, Georgia. The incident occurred at 2245 Rock Creek Road between 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, and 2:45 a.m. on Monday, June 22. Investigators responded to the scene early Monday morning after receiving reports of the overnight break-in. Surveillance footage captured a partially masked white male outside the business on Sunday night. At that time, the suspect was described as wearing a red shirt, khaki pants, and gloves. Authorities state that the same individual returned several hours later, now wearing a blue shirt, to break into the store. After committing the burglary, the suspect fled the area toward Rock Creek Road, taking undisclosed items with him. The suspect remains at large, and his identity has not yet been confirmed. Investigators are urging anyone who recognizes the man from the surveillance video or has any information regarding his identity or current whereabouts to come forward. The public is asked to contact Investigator Brown directly via email at [email protected] or to call the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division Tip Line at (706) 886-7048. Tips may help authorities locate the suspect and recover stolen property. This case remains an active investigation.
