The Newton County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for 15-year-old Sardius Scott, who is now the third suspect wanted in connection with a shooting incident at the Salem Quick Stop gas station. Scott is described as a Black male with brown dreads featuring blonde tips, standing 5-foot-5 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. The incident occurred on June 15 at approximately 2:55 p.m. Authorities report that while shots were fired, no injuries were reported at the scene. Scott is listed as having active warrants for aggravated assault, reckless conduct, criminal damage to property, and possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18. Investigators have identified Scott as the male subject previously sought in connection with the case. He joins two other individuals, 16-year-old Deangelo Martez Kilpatrick and 21-year-old Quinnterrious Davon Cannon, who were named as wanted suspects on Monday. Both Kilpatrick and Cannon face charges including aggravated assault and criminal damage to property, and they remain at large as of Wednesday. Additionally, the sheriff’s office is seeking to identify a female subject who was present in the store during the shooting. While this female has been identified by investigators, she has not been named publicly and currently does not face any charges. The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to assist in locating Scott, Kilpatrick, and Cannon.
