The New Orleans Police Department is asking the public to help identify and locate an unknown male suspect responsible for a theft that occurred on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The incident took place in the 2200 block of Marengo Street within the Sixth District. Investigators report that the suspect was observed entering the victim's rear backyard, where he unlawfully removed several delivered packages and other items before fleeing the area. Detectives believe this individual may also be connected to other similar theft incidents in the vicinity. The suspect is described as a male wearing a light-colored baseball cap, a camouflage-pattern shirt, and dark pants. Surveillance images have been released to aid in his identification.
